Anchored by architectural bronze columns, the tables evoke the fragmented remains of ancient sculptures, suspended in time yet effortlessly floating. In contrast, the biomorphic vases and lamp break free from the notion of captivity, emphasizing fluidity and organic form. The polished marble surfaces, reminiscent of classical statuary, juxtapose the deeply personal, almost intimate, contours of the human body.

Captum—Latin for “seized” or “captured”—and biomorfe, the Italian interpretation of “biomorph” or “life shape,” together reflect a conceptual dialogue between confinement and liberation, drawing inspiration from second-century Roman sculpture. This tension between restraint and movement challenges the perception of antiquity, reminding us, as Italian archaeologist Salvatore Settis once said:
